Come and immerse yourself in the wonderful world of watercolor while we taste two delicious Rioja wines, white or red, accompanied by some delicacies from Cowi's kitchen.
Cowi, restaurant and wine shop, offers us its space to hold this watercolor workshop.
Lately, I've noticed a proliferation of Art and Wine events in many places around the city; there are even venues dedicated exclusively to them. The contact with brushes and paints likely takes us back to childhood, a time when life was play, and if we combine that with wine and friends, then fun is guaranteed. The problem, I see, is that these kinds of events squander a wonderful educational opportunity, as they often remain merely a fun anecdote where little is actually learned.
Therefore, I am pleased to lead this workshop from a different perspective, where in addition to sharing the fun and pleasure of good food and drink, we will learn the basic principles of watercolor, which I hope will be the beginning of a genuine path of expression for some of you.
We will learn to mix colors starting from the three primary colors and we will create a creative color wheel on handmade cotton paper.
As a second and final exercise, we propose practicing brushstrokes and wet-on-wet painting. We will paint some beautiful bouquets of aromatic herbs.
