For some time now, I've been sharing my artistic knowledge with the many people who attend my workshops. Teaching is a wonderful way to make a difference, as many people have begun their artistic journey thanks to my workshops. While most won't pursue professional careers, they will open doors to a vast world of self-expression. And this is my greatest motivation: to share my passion for art, and specifically for watercolor painting.
Another of my motivations is to promote arts education outside of conventional channels, offering alternative spaces, in order to reach more people who, for various reasons, do not wish to commit to formal education.

INTRODUCTION TO WATERCOLOR SESSION
The first lesson on color—fundamental to any painting technique—will be taught using watercolors. This one-hour session is ideal for understanding color and watercolor techniques. It always takes place one hour before the regular workshop, and you are then invited to stay and paint with the regular group of participants.
I teach it during the week in Lalambik, my studio in Russafa, and Sunday mornings at the Botanical Garden of Valencia.

I had the great privilege of participating in this watercolor workshop during a trip to Valencia in May. Carmen led the class with great patience, helping each student according to their experience level. It's clear that Carmen is an expert in art, but also a professional teacher, as she corrected us in a kind way that helped us improve without making us feel bad. I especially appreciated that she recognized each student's abilities and worked with us individually to ensure our paintings turned out beautifully.

I really enjoyed the aquarel workshop in the Botanical Gardens. Carmen is an excellent and inspiring teacher. She explained the very basics of aquarel, she showed us several aquarel techniques and all together we had a very good time. You don't have to bring any materials to the workshop. Carmen takes care of everything. The only thing you need to bring is your vivid fantasy and your inner child enthusiasm.

I started with a bit of fear, it was a new technique, but Carmen explains it very well and the environment of her courses is motivating… I hope to be able to attend her classes again soon.
I love spending time at the botanical garden with Carmen and all my classmates, letting my imagination run wild and guided by a sensitive and very experienced teacher!
I've been thinking about learning to paint with watercolors for years. And through a family member, I learned about the courses taught by Carmen at the botanical garden.
I think it couldn't have been better; my circumstances led me to bring my 4-month-old daughter to these workshops, which meant we both enjoyed them together.
The baby can already see colors and the leaves of the trees in the garden entertained her, her classmates and the teacher empathized with her and the classroom environment was perfect outdoors with the sound of the water from the fountain.
And I, the mom 😉, learned watercolor techniques, despite having little idea about painting. Now that I have finished the course, I feel capable of painting a picture for my daughter and putting it in her room.
I recommend the experience with or without children; Carmen makes the classes very entertaining and makes it easy for you to progress.

I decided to sign up for Carmen's workshop without knowing anything about her, only sensing the surroundings of the botanical garden. I attended with my mother, and it was a wonderful experience. The place encourages tranquility and relaxation. Carmen is a magnificent teacher; she guides you without being imposing and allows you to bring out the best in yourself. I had never painted before, and I enjoyed myself and learned a lot. Her classes are like a mindfulness session. Thank you to Carmen for her patience and creativity, and to Soledad for being such a great classmate. We will definitely be back.

Carmen, the teacher, is a very sensitive person who knows how to convey both color and emotion to people. This, combined with the relaxing atmosphere of the Botanical Garden of Valencia, where she teaches her workshops, means that, in addition to learning about her art, you disconnect from all your problems and only what you capture on paper matters.

I did one of the watercolor workshops in the Botanic Garden in Valencia and I absolutely enjoyed it. The quiet atmosphere of the garden really invites you to paint and with the help of Carmen I learned some of the first steps in watercolor painting which I still use these days. Carmen is very friendly and enthusiastic company and patient with those who are learning how to use watercolor. I would completely recommend taking a workshop or course with her!
