Little Artists: Painting and drawing workshop for children

In Little Artists We invite children to discover the world of art through painting and drawing. Our workshop is designed for them to explore their creativity freely and enjoyably, learning basic watercolor and drawing techniques in a relaxed and stimulating environment.

The sessions take place in the Botanical Garden of Valencia, an environment full of beauty and calm, ideal for getting inspired, creating, making friends and enjoying art outdoors.

In case of rain, the workshop will be moved to Lalambik, Our welcoming art studio is located in the heart of Ruzafa. Studio sessions will allow us to explore other artistic techniques. In addition to watercolor, we'll experiment with acrylics, charcoal, collage, pastels, and more.

And on other days we will go out to draw at the Museum of Fine Arts, fostering a connection with art and culture.

The sessions last more than two hours, offering time to relax, play, and socialize with other children. This allows them to unleash their creativity, and when it's time to finish, they never want to leave!

The little artists are very happy, and often say goodbye asking when they will return.

It is recommended to bring a small stool, your sketchbook, and a pencil case with colored pencils and markers. It is also important to come prepared for mosquitoes in the garden.

Painting materials are included, so they can experiment without worries, in open and safe spaces where imagination takes center stage.

The workshop of the little artists.

Art is play, fun, and discovery, and children are naturally good at it. Childhood is the most creative time of life, and it's rare for a child not to enjoy drawing or painting.

The garden provides the ideal setting for this workshop where, through observation of nature and play, we can approach the basic concepts of drawing: volumes, perspective, light, and also color. We will do this by experimenting with a multitude of techniques: colored pencils, charcoal, pastels, watercolor, gouache or acrylic paint, collage, etc.

The class structure is always the same. First, the activity is explained, and we begin by making a sketch that familiarizes us with schematic drawing, which we will later develop in a different format using the painting technique proposed for that day.

The garden's location is ideal for parents, as they can stroll through it or take the opportunity to visit the now pedestrianized historic center, enjoy a coffee in its charming squares, shop at the central market, or visit any of the nearby museums—all while the children have fun and learn. It's the perfect plan for families on sunny Saturdays.

MAXIMUM 10 CHILDREN PER GROUP.

In case of cancellation, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can make the place available for another young artist.

Hello! From what age can the course be taken? Thank you.

This workshop is essential for developing children's artistic sensitivity and observation skills. They learn a lot and explore many techniques. I highly recommend it.

I go to the botanical garden to draw with Carmen on Saturdays. Honestly, it's my favorite activity of the whole week. Carmen explains everything really well, we learn several styles, and it's at the botanical garden, which is a place I love. Besides drawing, I've made lots of friends. It's great!

Without a doubt, enrolling our daughter in Carmen's workshops has been the best decision we've made regarding extracurricular activities, as she enjoys those moments immensely, goes very happily, and has connected with Carmen, which is also fundamental.

It's been a real discovery for us, and we're thrilled. In fact, I also attend watercolor workshops with her, with a group of adults, and I'm very happy about it.

I recommend their workshops for learning, unleashing creativity, letting go, flowing… disconnecting for a while from our routine in a pleasant and relaxed environment… and above all, to enjoy these pleasures of life.

Carmen, all that's left for me to do is congratulate you on your career and your passion and motivation for art, and thank you for all those shared moments and those yet to come 😀.
