Art workshop and barbecue party in a beautiful private garden overlooking the Guadalest Valley.
Learn to capture pictorially the beautiful emotion of sharing an artistic experience with friends in an incomparable setting, a garden overlooking the Guadalest valley.
Within the Travel Notebook proposal, which are the watercolor workshops that I teach in the summer, I have the pleasure of announcing this nice event.
Travel Notebook is a proposal by Carmen Ibarra for lovers of travel, travels around the world and also journeys to our inner worlds, because in the end art is that, a journey inwards.
In the summer, when we take those days to disconnect, it's the best time to start a travel journal, or if not a travel journal, a summer journal, to have a good time during those days of rest.
On their travels, artists try to carry a sketchbook and some art supplies: watercolors, inks, pencils, or markers. They paint and draw anything, from an insect to a figment of their imagination. In this way, experiences from another time and place are expressed and captured on paper.
Upon arrival at the garden, our host will greet us with a welcome cocktail, providing an opportunity to socialize and introduce ourselves. Afterward, we'll begin the painting experience. Each participant will find an inspiring spot within the garden, and the necessary materials—tablets, paper, brushes, and watercolors—will be distributed. The painter will give a brief demonstration of how to use the materials and will assist participants throughout the experience.
At the end of the painting experience we will have a lovely barbecue dinner and a pleasant after-dinner conversation in the same garden by candlelight.
