Who are we?

The alembic is a device for distilling liquids. In ancient times, it was used to produce perfumes, medicines, paints, and to extract alcohol from fermented fruits. It is believed that the alembic was invented by a woman, Mary the Jewess, an alchemist and inventor who lived approximately between the 1st and 3rd centuries. We have been captivated by the beauty of the alembic as an object and its ability to extract the essence of things, and we have made it our symbol. Could art be this much sought-after essence of life?
Lalambik is our personal transcription of the alembic (with Arabic and Greek origins), a mixture of different languages, which defines the essence of this space that is not so much purist as eclectic, varied and multicultural.
